As a member of the property Human Resources support staff, the Human Resources Manager works with Human Resources employees to carry out the daily activities of the Human Resource Office including oversight of recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. Additionally, he/she focuses on delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success; as well as ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and operating procedures.



  • Management and organization of legal procedures related to all employees within the hotel, ensuring compliance of personnel and personal affairs with the law and controls costs.
  • Analyzation of the workforce needs of the hotel, advising on employee selection and development activities to meet the right employee needs.
  • Examination, display, and overviewing of job applications to department managers.
  • Creation and management of the Human Resources budget
  • Support the Department Managers in the recruitment process.
  • Ensure excellent relations with legal institutions
  • Take the dissatisfaction and employee complaints in accountability
  • Ensure that employees comply with the specified disciplinary rules and ensure the preparation and provision of relevant documents.
  • When necessary, consult the General Manager and providing information on all kinds of issues.
  • Ensure that HR practices follow corporate and internal HR regulations, rules, and procedures as well as legal HR regulations, rules and procedures.
  • Ensure that employee files are complete and accurate. Monitoring and control of issues such as insurance, annual leave, sick leave, employee reward system, etc.
  • Be responsible for following the latest HR practices.
  • Employee identification for the development with Department Managers and the General Manager, monitor individual development plans and give recommendations.
  • Perform duties with the principle of increasing employee productivity and satisfaction by using leadership qualities and motivational techniques.
  • Monitor probationary periods and performance evaluations.
  • Play an active role to create a positive working environment for all employees.
  • Determine performance standards and ensures that they are communicated to employees.
  • Regularly monitors the work performance of employees.
  • Ensure that disciplinary practices are applied in cases of compliance, injustice, disrespect, etc
  • Ensure that employee turnover rate and sickness reports are reported accurately and on time
  • Ensure that the payroll process is processed in accordance with the hotel and Senegalese Law
  • Ensure that overtime work is monitored, controlled with the attendance control system, relevant legal documents are prepared and kept in the personnel files of the employees
  • Ensure that the documents in the employee files and the records in the information system are complete
  • Ensure that online applications are investigated, and reference checks are made for new employees
  • Ensure the follow-up of Social Security Institution reports, ensures, and coordinates the flow of information with the legal departments of the state
  • Ensure that the occupational health and safety system is implemented within the framework of the Labor Law.
  • Seek methods to motivate and encourage employees
  • Inform employees about benefits and rules
  • Management of special employee incentives (employee of the month/year programs etc.)
  • Provide appropriate and professional support to employees in all kinds of problems
  • Perform the customer service function by responding to employee requests and considers employee feedback to ensure satisfaction
  • Ensure that all tools and machines are properly used and cleaned within the department
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of the fire and life safety / emergency procedures
  • Ensure that all employees implement the hotel food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with the procedures.
  • Support all departments in employee motivation and team building
  • Observe the individual performance/appearance/continuity of employees and examine employee annual performance evaluations/disciplinary issues when necessary
  • Provide monitoring and control of employee costs
  • To continuously follow new topics and technology to be aware of the developments in the field of Human Resources and education
  • Advise the management on all developments and changes that may be appropriate in all matters related to their field
  • Be committed to community and environmental projects
  • Play an active role in maintaining the sustainability standard.


Profile :

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major
  • Must have a minimum of 5-year experience in the human resources management operations, or related professional area
  • Should have a good command of Senegalese labor laws and union regulations and be able to manage all kinds of processes with unions and their representatives in a professional manner
  • Should be fluent in French and English.
